Anyone have Valentine’s Day plans yet? Galentine’s Day?
I’ll be honest, we usually have a quiet night in. I can’t even say that do something special at home. Sometimes I’ll make a fancier dinner for two – like Jerk Scallops with Pineapple Salsa over Coconut Rice – and sometimes the kids and I will make a festive sweet to have in the house (these Valentine’s Day Blondies are one of the kids favorites), but usually keep it pretty low key around here.
While I don’t have a tradition for the sweet holiday, I do enjoy getting a little festive when I have time. So whether you’re planning a Valentine or Galentine event, or just want some inspiration, we’ve got you covered. Check out these delightful Valentine Sweets and Cocktails, all part of the #ValentineSweets blogging event hosted by Michaela from An Affair from the Heart.

Recipe Notes for A French Martini
-
- My version uses a bit more Chambord, a black raspberry liqueur, than most recipes call for, as I like the sweet liquor and stronger raspberry flavor.
- Not sure what else to use Chambord for? It can be sipped on the rocks, used in other cocktails such as a Sparkling Chambord Sangria or a Raspberry Mojito or even in dessert, like this Raspberry Chambord Sorbet.
- I’ve taken to liking stemless glassware. I served the French martini in these JoyJolt Martini Glasses Set (affiliate link).

French Martini’s are one of my hub’s favorite cocktails! It’s been forever since I made him one – I need to change that! These look so pretty all dressed up for Valentine’s Day!
