About Me

Hello!

First, thanks for checking out my blog! This has been a learning experiment for me, which began in October 2009. I have always enjoyed reading, cooking and baking, trying out new recipes, and entertaining, so I decided to give this a whirl. So far, I’m really enjoying blogging (something I didn’t think I’d get into) and have been excited to see the number of hits and searches in my blog increase over the past year or two. I get very excited when people leave comments on my blog, so please let me know if you find a recipe or book you enjoy, have a suggestion for a recipe modification or book recommendation, or love/hate something. While this is a hobby for me, I’d like to make it wonderful for my readers as well!

Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing from you!

  1. I just sent the girls your book review (The Invisible bridge)—I am thinking Nora might like especially—Love Aunt Mickey have a great day!

  2. Enjoying looking through your website, you may inspire us to cook something today! LOVE the site!

  3. I have a question about the Coconut Macadamia Bars. In the recipe for the shortbread part it says to put in a cup of brown sugar. I did that and baked the shortbread. Then for the coconut macadamia topping it says to add brown sugar but there isn’t any listed for this part of the recipe. What did I do wrong?

    1. I feel terrible – you did nothing wrong, I did! The brown sugar was for the topping, not the crust. It was completely my error in the recipe. The post has been updated. I think I owe you a batch of the bars!
