Ingredients

  • 1 pint cherry or grape tomatoes halved
  • 8 oz. fresh mozzarella balls pearls or ciliegine size
  • 1 bunch fresh basil cleaned with leaves removed from stem
  • 2-4 Tbs. balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Prep: Ensure mozzarella balls are roughly the same size as tomato halves. If necessary, cut in half. Tear or cut any really large piece of basil so that they're no larger than roughly twice the size of the tomato halves.

  2. Thread the ingredients onto a toothpick, bamboo skewer or cocktail pick in the following order - tomato half, basil (folded in half or thirds if large), mozzarella, tomato, basil, and mozzarella. Repeat until all ingredients are gone.

  3. If serving immediately, drizzle with balsamic glaze. If serving later, refrigerate until serving and drizzle with glaze just before serving.
