Brown Sugar Cinnamon Simple Syrup

This 3-ingredient Brown Sugar Cinnamon Simple Syrup is a quick condiment to stash in your fridge this fall, to give coffees and cocktails a sweet fall twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. light brown sugar packed
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small to medium saucepan set over medium heat. Bring just to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Lower heat and continue to simmer for 15 minutes, until mixture has thickened and reduced slightly.

  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

This recipe yields about 1 cup of simple syrup, or 16 1-Tbs. servings.
