The Poinsettia Champagne Cocktail is a light, bright cocktail with a hint of cranberry and orange. Just 3 ingredients, this cocktail is a wonderful and easy way to celebrate the upcoming holidays.
I’m not a big bubbly drinker, even on New Year’s Eve, but I do enjoy a bubbly cocktail on Christmas morning as we watch the kids play with their newly opened presents. It’s become part of our holiday tradition. Presents + bubbly cocktail. What’s not to love about that? Sometimes we go traditional with a classic mimosa, and sometimes it’s something a little fancier (but still easy!) like a Sparkling Pamplemousse – a light, sweet cocktail of grapefruit liquor and bubbly.
It’s been years since I’ve made a Poinsettia Champagne Cocktail, but I recall one Thanksgiving where my brothers and I indulged while the turkey was still cooking. I tend to enjoy cranberry drinks because they’re not overly sweet (a Classic Cosmo is my go to cocktail but I also really enjoy a Cranberry Moscow Mule or a Champagne Cosmo). The cranberry juice and orange liquor give just a hit of sweetness to your chosen bubble, and a pretty pink color that just screams “winter holidays” to me.
Recipe Notes:
- Don’t have Grand Marnier? You can use equal amounts of Triple Sec or skip it all together.
- Serving a crowd? Mix up a pitcher of the Grand Marnier and cranberry juice and keep cold. Before serving, stir. Pour mixture into a champagne flute, a little under half the glass. Top with bubbly at serving time.

This is our go-to Christmas breakfast cocktail. Kinda like a mimosa but more festive!
This sounds SO good – I love the combination of orange and cranberry!
I love a glass of bubbly on Christmas morning! And I do have some Grand Marnier.
Yum! I love champagne cocktails, especially around the holidays. They are so bubbly and fun!
I have everything to make this so it will make a great option for our holiday drink selection. Especially NYE.
It will be great for NYE. Let me know how you enjoy it!
My kids joke that I have every form a alcohol in existence and it’s so funny since we don’t drink a lot. I use Cointreau for my orange flavor!
I honestly use Grand Marnier and Cointreau interchangeably a lot. Both lend a nice orange flavor to a cocktail
