Sweet and tart with floral notes, this Meyer Lemon-Lavender Vodka Martini is a delightedly fresh cocktail to welcome fall, even if it doesn’t quite feel like fall outside.

I have a confession to make. Until last month, I had never tasted a Meyer Lemon.
Don’t get me wrong, I knew about them. Heck, I had bookmarked lots of recipes for them. But I had never actually tasted one. And now? I’m not sure I’d ever want to buy a regular lemon again.
I can regale you with all of the difference in a Meyer lemon – smaller, deeper yellow on the outside and almost an orange inside…. but the only important thing is the flavor. Meyer Lemon is not nearly as tart as a regular lemon. Don’t get me wrong, I like some citrus – a Citrus Martini, a Lemon Poppy Seed Loaf Cake… but a Meyer Lemon? It’s way better. Big thanks to our sponsor Melissa’s Produce for opening up my eyes!
And the lavender? This is the first year the lavender in my garden really bloomed but here, I used lavender paste. I thought it more versatile to make a plain simple syrup that could be used in multiple cocktails rather than taking the time to infuse lavender into a cocktail. So here, I use a plain simple syrup + a bit of lavender paste. It’s big on flavor and perfect for cocktails because is dissolves easily. I used Lavender Paste from our sponsor Taylor & Colledge. Again, many thanks!
Yep, I’d say this cocktail was just perfect for enjoying a night (or two, or three) after work. It’s light and refreshing, just what you need when fall is starting but the weather hasn’t quite gotten the hint. (Also what I needed when working all week while simultaneously wrangling cooped-up kiddos, but you know, #COVIDLife.)
Giveaway: Don’t forget there’s a giveaway this week. The prize details are here. Rafflecopter removed after the giveaway ended, for improved reader experience.

Looks delicious!
What a fun and delicious way to combine lemon and lavender. I’m always up for a good martini, too. We have a local vodka that’s smooth as the expensive stuff. Putting it to use this fall with this recipe.
This is the perfect summer cocktail. The perfect amount of tart and sweetness. I’ve made this several times for a girls weekend and each time it is a huge hit! I recommend stocking up on the lavender paste. Also, one time couldn’t find Meyers lemon so I used regular and just added extra simple syrup. Delish!
So glad you all enjoyed it! I do love the light flavors – it goes down too easily 😉
